$.ajax, success function is not returning data

Hello Team,

My requirement is to display the SUM which is being queried from a DB or Calculation view. I am getting the result from service in a JSON format i.e.

{"0":{"SUM":"298520"}}.

I have called this service in view.js on click of a button. User parameter is passed to the service in jQuery Ajax. But while calling the success function the value is not getting set to the result text field. Rather its throwing an error.

Moreover while debugging, when I navigate to "Network" I am not sure whether the service is being called also or not as their is no green indicator and status code present. Please have a look below for the network and response.

Please let me know where am I going wrong.
