Using Multiple input parameters in a Projection

Hello Experts,

I have defined two input parameters on a table in a projection node, one this input parameter is mandt and the other is optional. what is the best way to write a filter expression in the HANA studio. use of AND makes both the values input as mandt and OR fetches the complete result set of matching that of mandt Input parameter.I am HANA SP 10.

Few clarifications need and consideration in your answers :

1> does input parameter needs to be always entered?

2> use of variables is a NO because we are using huge data to query.

3> Cannot have the option to make both the fields mandt.
