Hey folks,
We are experimenting with HANA using the sidecar model. We have a few custom web services that are not coded in a very efficient way for HANA - basically tons of small queries. Of course re-writing them is an option but it would take quite a bit of time.
When looking at the SQL trace, I see anywhere from 2000 to 9000 microseconds spent opening the connection to HANA:
The actual fetches are super quick but with every query I see REOPEN taking time. When going against the R/3 database the reopen time is 2 or 3 microseconds.
Is there any way to make SAP keep the connections to a secondary database open so we don't have all the added overhead of opening that connection?
Thanks in advance!
