Howto retrieve current authenticated user in SAPUI5/XSODATA app?

Hi,

with a HCP HTML5 application there is the User API (cf. https://help.hana.ondemand.com/help/frameset.htm?1de599bf722446849d2b2e10132df42a.html). In a NetWeaver there is a similar API (accessible via /sap/bc/ui2/start_up).

Is there something similar for a SAPUI5/XSODATA app to access the name etc. of the currently authenticated user?
