Open SQL w HANA as 2nd DB: buffering?

Hi, all,

I use Open SQL statements with HANA as a secondary database (DBCON entry) on a table which was created as buffered in SE11 (for example, SPFLI), as:

SELECT * FROM spfli "buffered table in SE11

CONNECTION (gc_con)

Is application server buffer used in this situation? I think not (couldn't see it in ST05), but I am not sure. Please verify.
