write to file

Hello,

is there any way to directly write to a file based on the hana server from inside HANA using some kind of trigger? (or maybe using XSJS?)

I know that there is a file-api in SPS 09, but sadly I'm stuck with SPS 08 currently and I'm not sure if the file api in SPS 09 permits to write to paths outside of the HANA repository area.

PS: so far I only found the "EXPORT" option, but this one cant be really controlled in terms of a query or limit to only data instead of full details etc.
