Development Infrastructure for on-premise HANA

Hello,

Are there are any best practices for setting up a team development environment for on-premise HANA XS applications?  Something like Using an open source based development infrastructure with SAP HANA Cloud Platform, except for on-premise HANA. Or like LeanDI.

Ideally, it would have external version control, the possibility of CI, and the ability to use non-Eclipse based tools. As lean as possible, but any suggestions are welcome.
