Hash Partition with Alter statement

Hi,

Created Column Table using Hash Partition with 8 Partitions.

Thats fine 8 Partitions are distributed to each Host.

Question 1.In another case table is already having data. So I was using Alter statement for non partitioned table using Hash Partition with 8 Partitions

here issue is all the Partitions are created under one single Host. but which has to be distributed to each Host.

Question 2. There are few Column tables which are already created with Hash Partition in the system.

After Opening the Table Definition I used Export SQL option for auto generated SQL.

There I see like               

'PARTNAMES' = ('7', '8', '9', '10', '11', '12', '13', '14',)

what are these Partnames?

I was trying to check with Host number.. it is not matching...
