Regarding Delivery unit

Hi,

I understand that in order to transport package which includes our procedures and models to different systems we use delivery unit to import and export to other systems. but how can we do the same  in Production system since we don't have access to do the same in production?

Also is there any other method also by which we can  transport our models and packages to different systems?
