Setup Monitoring Alert Notifications in SAP HANA Studio

Hi folks,

I'm having issues setting up the monitoring alert notifications in SAP HANA studio.  I tried to trigger one of the checks, but I'm getting the error below:

2/12/15 6:22 AM | Error 2110004 when trying to send email: [SMTPMail: (, recipients: name1@domain.com, name2@domain.com, name3@domain.com), "Alert "Number of diagnosis iles" (id 50) on SID 00"

I think I need to setup the SMTP configs first, but I can't find where I should set this up. I read from help.sap that in SPS09, this is done in SAP HANA XS Administration tool via URL http://<WebServerHost>:80<SAPHANAinstance>/sap/hana/xs/admin/ (we're in SPS08), and that I need the roles

• sap.hana.xs.admin.roles::RuntimeConfAdministrator
• sap.hana.xs.admin.roles::SMTPDestAdministrator

I was able to assign RuntimeConfAdministrator in my user, but I can't find SMTPDestAdministrator. Please advise.
