Variations with HANA Sandbox and HANA Academy tutorials

I am using the 30-day Free Hana Sandbox and need some assistance.

   1. Can you say what is the dfiierence in version of Hana Studio deployed on
   the free Sandbox and that on the HANA Academy.
   The screens are completely different on both boxes. Whatever the instructor
   at the HANA Academy shows during the demo are completely different.
   Example: I am creating an Attribute View. One explicit instruction is that
   the first field in the output must be a Key. This makes a lot of sense.
   But when using the Free 30-day Sandbox, there is no option to convert the
   field with a key.
   During the Demo on the SAP Academy, the View will not validate/Activate
   without the Key. On the Sandbox there is no issue to compile without the
   Key.
   But when trying to display the data the following message appears.

Error: The model is not activated properly. BIMC tables contains no
metadata of the model. Try re-deploying !!

Redeploying is successful but error still occur.

On searching the web we are instructed to correct the problem by creating a
Key on the view, but there is no option to create a Key.
